Y6 Physics Club Student Volunteer Recruitment
Hi everyone! We are recruiting Y9-11 student volunteers for the Y6 Physics Club! This is a long-term service opportunity.
We would like to invite you to apply as a student volunteer in our upcoming Y6 Physics Club, which will be held every Wednesday after school from 15:20 to 16:20 in SS502. It will take place from the 22nd of April to the 17th of June. If selected as a student volunteer, you must attend all 9 sessions, which will count towards a long-term service.
As a student volunteer, you will supervise approximately four Year 6 students and assist them with simple physics experiments to build their foundational knowledge of physics. We will prepare all lesson plans and teach the students how to do the experiments, so you only need to guide them through the process and answer their questions!
We are looking for responsible and committed Years 9-11 students who work well with younger students. If you are interested in joining us, please fill out this Google Form by the 10th of April (Friday).
If you have any questions, please email Eunice Tang (tange6@rchk.edu.hk), Myraa Khemlani (khemlm1@rchk.edu.hk), or Charisse Leung (leungp19@rchk.edu.hk).
Dear Students and RC Community,
We are the Dental Defenders, a group of Year 9 Science students who will organise a dental hygiene products drive after Easter Break. We will be looking to collect travel-size toothpaste and mouthwash for Hanuman Charity, who regularly serve the homeless in their community by providing them with personal hygiene products. In Science lessons, we learned that pathogenic bacteria can cause gum disease. We would like to help the homeless prevent this by collecting travel-size toothpaste and mouthwash they can use. If you and your family will travel during the upcoming Easter Break and will stay in accommodations that provide free travel-size toothpaste and mouthwash that you will not use, please bring them back for us! We are also happy to accept small toothpaste and mouthwash you wish to donate if you decide not to travel!
Details of the collection will be shared after Easter Break so watch this space! In the meantime, if you have any questions, you can contact us via Ms. Wendy Fan at fanw3@rchk.edu.hk. Thank you and have a wonderful Easter Break!

Hong Kong Alzheimer's Association is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that provides specialised, non-medical services to people with dementia and their families.
In order to support this NGO, we are hosting a fundraising event, which will take place on April 22nd. Students are free to dress up in either orange, green or purple (colours of the logo), with a minimum donation of $20. Moreover, you can also attend a talk by an expert from the Hong Kong Alzheimer's Association regarding Alzheimer's and dementia. This talk will be in the 6th form Seminar Room from 9:10-10:00 AM on April 22, so you will have to miss 50 minutes of Period 1. There are only 50 places available so sign up fast to guarantee your spot.
Money raised will be put towards charity, for supporting vital programs and services, like providing education on brain health and knowledge of the disease to the general public; as well as training to medical practitioners, caregivers and professionals of various trades, to enhance their ability in early detection of the disease and their knowledge and skills in caring for people living with dementia.
We hope to see you there!

ESF ART EXHIBITION - ‘TOMORROW’
The theme of the show this year is ’Tomorrow.’
This is a unique word in language, as it describes something that can never exist. With the dawning of each new day, tomorrow moves away from us again. It is a word that represents a future state, something to look ahead to, to wonder about and to stimulate our dreams.
In this exhibition, we are looking for students to imagine the future. It could be their own, it could be the future of our planet, or it could be a glimpse into the world of science fiction: what will technology look like in hundreds of years? How will we live? What will we be doing?
The only pre-requisite is the pieces should not be about the here and now. We are looking for the students to look ahead to the future, to think about what comes next. To think about tomorrow.
Deadline for Artwork: Monday May 4th - 3:20pm
Where to Submit: The artworks should be submitted to either Ms P, Mr Gadbury (Primary Art Rooms or Mr Deakin (Room 411 - secondary)
Details: RC is permitted to showcase only 16 artworks. The Visual Art department will select artworks which represent all year groups and are deemed to represent the theme of ‘tomorrow’, if more than 16 artworks are submitted.
Event Details:
Art Exhibition Period: June 17 to 21 (Free admission, open to the public)
Theme: Tomorrow
Time: 10 AM – 7 PM (Daily), 10 AM - 4 PM (June 21)
Venue: Exhibition Hall, 1/F, Low Block, Hong Kong City Hall (5 Edinburgh Place, Central, Hong Kong)
Grand Opening Event: June 16
Good luck!
