As the academic year comes to a close, it’s a stressful time filled with assessments, mock exams, project deadlines, and report cards.
We are SHINE, a mental health club, and we will be hosting Origami Workshops over the next two weeks. Participants will be folding origami with motivational notes inside, which will be scattered around the school. We are recruiting student volunteers from Year 7 to Year 11 to take part in at least two of the following sessions:
Tuesday, May 6th (lunch)
Monday, May 12th (lunch)
Tuesday, May 13th (lunch)
Thursday, May 8th (after school)
Thursday, May 15th (after school)
Showing up for all the sessions you signed up for will be rewarded with a service minor. If you are in Y10-12, you can write for a specific person and hand-deliver the origami!

ESF Art Exhibition 2025
Theme: Generations
Children born from January 1, 2025 are members of the new ‘Generation Beta.’ They will inherit a world vastly different from that which we occupy. However, while each generation brings change, advancements and a new outlook, they are also building on that which has gone before them. The story of humanity has many chapters - and this is what we are looking to highlight this year.
‘Generations’ will be a celebration of people. It can be the people we live with now who are so important to us and how we live. Or it can be the people who have gone before us and have done so much to shape our lives and the world around us.
We can also look ahead to the people who will form our new Generation Beta. Who will they be? What will their world look like? What changes will they bring?
This is an exhibition for us and about us. Generations.
We are eager to see photographic and other digital media works this year!
We accept solo and group artworks. Any artworks created by a class of students will be handled as one submission

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are writing to you to inform you of an upcoming mandatory aspect of your child’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) experience. The Collaborative Sciences Project (CSP), formerly Group 4 Project, is a multidisciplinary activity which encourages IBDP science students to work together to develop an understanding of the relationships between scientific disciplines and their influence on other areas of knowledge within a global and/or local context.
The CSP is compulsory for any student who takes a Group 4 subject and full attendance is expected from all students. We write to you to respectfully seek support in assuring your child’s attendance is complete throughout the full schedule of tasks and activities.
The CSP will be conducted in school and will take place from Monday, 23 June 23 to Wednesday, 25 June this academic year. Full details of the schedule will be shared with your child inclusive of times and expectations closer to the date. As you plan ahead, please ensure that your child is available to attend school on all these days.
If a student is not able to attend any part of the CSP they must contact Secondary Vice Principal, Ms. Jess Davey-Peel, as soon as possible. As this is a mandatory part of the IBDP, any student not in a position to fulfil this expectation may be required to make alternative arrangements at another ESF school to satisfy the academic requirement.
Thank you for your ongoing and continued support.
Yours sincerely,
Ms. Mandy So
Head of Science
Ms. Phoebe King
Head of Design
Mr. Lee Burns
