Are you curious how 1 Bitcoin could be worth over HK$500,000? Is it because global interest rates have risen? Or is it because governments and corporations have started to recognize Bitcoin as a new monetary tool? Even the IMF is studying it's potential use cases.
And now, Bitcoin is set to take over Hong Kong!
Hong Kong is hosting the world's largest Bitcoin Conference on May 9-10 and recently, the Securities and Futures Commission approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. This landmark decision is the first approval in Asia and demonstrates Hong Kong's desire to become a global digital asset hub and boost its attraction as a financial centre.
If you're interested in learning about this new industry, please complete this Google Form or speak directly to Mr. Chiang.

Theme: Faster, Higher, Stronger
The Paris Olympics are almost upon us. Every four years, athletes from every country, from all walks of life and of all faiths and none come together to celebrate the remarkable nature of humanity. The Olympic podium is the highest point in sport, but those three medals do not represent the totality of the spirit that guides the Games, nor do they tell the story of the sacrifice, hard work and dedication of every participant.
This year, our ESF art exhibition is all about humans and their extraordinary power to achieve. Every single day, people in our schools, in our homes and in our communities are doing remarkable things and this is what we seek to celebrate in this show.
This need not just be about the people who have achieved something headline grabbing. It can also be about the people who do things to help us, to make our lives better and to support us in what we do. Who are the change makers? Who goes above and beyond for us? Who, in our lives, is dedicated to being faster, higher and stronger in the service of others? These are the people we seek to shine a light on.
This art exhibition is open to all ESF students. We will promote the art exhibition internally and externally on ESF-owned promotional platforms and social media channels.
Please Note – RC is permitted to submit 16 artworks only, from Years 1 to 13. If more than 16 artworks are submitted, then the Visual Arts Department will select 16 artworks which reflect as many year groups as possible.
*We accept solo and group art pieces. An art piece created by a group of students will be handled as one submission.
Points to note for submission-
1) We accept drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, pixel art, digital art or photography that is relevant to the art exhibition theme.
2) Parent permission and consent should be granted for the child’s art piece image or video and any information about the art piece, including name, school year and school name, to be shown publicly.
3) The art piece must be the student’s original work without infringing any intellectual property rights
4) Each submission confirms that they consent to the use of the personal data for this art exhibition, such use to be in accordance with ESF's Personal Data Handling Policy and its related Personal Information Collection Statements (“PICS”). A copy of the PICS can be found on the ESF website (http://www.esf.edu.hk).
5) All images or videos and other information of art pieces collected may be disclosed to third parties, including external service providers or website developers, for this art exhibition.
If the submission does not meet the above requirements, we will contact the school to resubmit before showcasing the art piece in the art exhibition. ESF Centre reserves the right to remove any sensitive content or art pieces that might potentially violate the law. When submitting art pieces, please be considerate of others and be sensitive to the content depicted.
Original artworks must be submitted to Andrew Deakin in room 411, by Monday 29th April 2024 – 4pm.

Are you a student from RCHK and interested in football?
Do you want to compete against each other in who knows more about football?
Well you are in luck! This 2023/24 year will feature a Fantasy Premier League tournament where football fans compete against each other for a chance to win a special prize
The fantasy premier league is a social game where a group of avid Premier League spectators gather and manage a team of real life players, in a simulation called the Fantasy Premier League. (The simulator can be found online, and is completely free to create an account) In this simulator, the aim is to draft 15 top players each based on statistics, predictions and work ethics of the real life 2023/24 football season. This game is tracked by real life football matches where players score, assist and keep clean sheets in order to earn individual points for the team. In the end of each game week, all players in the starting 11 will have their points added up and that deems your total points for the week. In the total 38 game weeks, people can make player trades with other people. Before each game week, you submit a squad, which can be altered using players on your bench, and, is based on your views and other relevant statistics.
This game brings people from different years together who all share the same passion of football to go head to head to see who has better and the best ball knowledge in RCHK!
Best regards,
Aryan, Keshav, Cyrus
